Ways to lose belly flab

Figuring out how to lose belly flab is one of the problems that’s been facing humanity for a long time.  Everyone wants to lose belly flab, and it’s one of the most difficult places to lose fat.

You should always start on your quest to lose belly flab by cutting back on how much food you eat.  You’ll want to reduce the amount of carbohydrates you take in first, like potatoes, white rice, white bread, etc.  Starchy foods have a lot of calories, so cutting them from your diet can help you out immensely.

The next step in your journey to lose belly flab is cardio exercise.  This type of exercise will get your heart pumping and increase your overall health.  Cardio exercise can be anything that increases your breathing and heart rate.  Jogging, walking, biking, and climbing stairs are all great forms of cardio exercise.  Just be sure to monitor your heart rate while you exercise and keep it within the recommended range for cardio and weight loss.

After you’ve been working on your cardio exercise, then it’s time to start adding in muscle exercises.  You’ll need to do strength training that focuses on your abdominal muscles in order to help tone the muscles around your belly.  Let’s take a closer look at some of the ab workouts that can help you lose belly flab.

The easiest form of ab exercise to do is the abdominal contraction.  This exercise can be done just about any time, anywhere.  It can be done while you’re sitting down or standing up.  Just spend some time focusing on your abdominal muscles and contracting them.

When you’re ready to move on to some more advanced ab exercises, try some basic curls.  Lie on your back with your feet flat on the floor.  Bend your knees and put your hands on your thighs.  Then just raise your shoulders up off the floor.  Make sure you feel the burn in your abdominal area, or else you’re not doing the exercise correctly.

Another great way to lose belly flab by working the abdominal muscles is the reverse curl.  To do this exercise, lie on your back with your palms flat on the floor by your buttocks.  Bend your legs, but instead of curling up the traditional way by moving your shoulders up, bring your legs up toward your belly.  Keep your legs bent the entire time, and use your abdominal muscles to move your legs in an upward motion, much like a reverse curl.

Finding ways to lose belly flab can be a real challenge, but you’ve got to be dedicated in order to see results.  You may find it helpful to sign up for some training sessions at your local gym.  Another option is simply to work out with an exercise buddy.  You can both try to keep each other motivated to lose that belly flab.  After all, no pain, no gain, and often the best way to stay motivated is to go through the exercises with a friend.
